Hints for Bird Extinctions Search : Try to be as thorough as you can. Sometimes we hear reports of species thought to be extinct that are found, so you can never be absolutely sure.
1) Copy and paste a Latin name from your Bird Family worksheet and paste in your internet browser. This is the best place to start your search. All the sources which contain your bird's name will be listed. After you have exhausted these sources, paste the name into Google and select IMAGES. If you don't see a photo of your bird, there is a strong possibiliity that it is extinct.
